Gautam Pradeep is an architectural designer who is currently working at a leading contractor in the GCC region on designing and coordinating delivery of muliple projects in the aviation sector.
His motivations lie in pushing the needle on big challenges with an interdisciplinary mindset.
He graduated from Iowa State University with a Master of Science in Architecture (M.Sc Arch) as well as a Bachelor in Architecture (B.Arch). His research at Iowa State during graduate research involved looking at responsive shading systems from a historical context as well as proposing novel use cases for cold climates like Iowa.
During this time he has also worked in multiple positions withing Iowa State including being a part of the Computation + Construction Lab as a research assistant along with assisting in teaching professional practice to both undergraduate and graduate students. Post-graduation, he has also come back to Iowa State University to co-teach a third year architecture studio on housing tackling the dire state of affordable housing in San Fransisco with co-teacher Andrew Ballard, AIA in 2023.
Gautam’s professional experience includes works at multiple scales between the Midwest in North America to the Middle East in the GCC region. From bespoke residential projects in Oregon and Indiana, community focused commercial projects in Cedar Rapids, to airport projects in UAE and Saudi Arabia, he aims to create spaces that spark joy.
Gautam moved back in 2024 to Dubai (UAE) where he grew up in and is currently based.
